Multi-Ringing / Multi-SIM Solution Description

With Multi-Ringing & Multi-SIM solution several additional SIM cards (Extra cards) share the same identification (Main card) MSISDN number.

Customers can have separate devices, for example a mobile phone, a car-phone and a PC -based Soft Phone, all sharing the same Main Card MSISDN, and can then be reached simultaneously on all of these devices.

The subscriber can be operating a mobile handset at the same time as transferring data or browsing the net with her laptop and data card.

The expanding of multi-SIM penetration with the Multi-SIM solution is a real growth area. Instead of starting a difficult and expensive fight for churners the operators have an alternative. Targeting the multi-SIM services the operators can now implement the strategy of serving all the communications needs of their customers.

The solution provides optional support for MO and MT SMS messages.

Product Details

One solution brings three services on the market:

Service 1: One Main SIM Card Subscription Associated with a SIP Soft Phone Account
Service 2: One Main SIM Card Subscription Associated with Several Extra SIM Cards
Service 3: One Main SIM Card Subscription Associated with Several Extra SIM Cards and a SIP Soft Phone Account

Service 1

A SIP account is associated with MRMS subscriber’s Main Card subscription
MRMS subscriber can initiate calls from her mobile phone (Main Card), or from a Soft Phone installed at her PC and/or Notebook; Called Party sees Subscribers Main MSISDN
Initiating/receiving calls from/on a Soft Phone while in roaming saves roaming charges for the subscriber
Calls towards subscriber’s Main Card MSISDN can be answered from the mobile phone device, or from a Soft Phone (if started)
Self-administration: option to enable/disable the terminating leg to the SIP Soft Phone

Service 2

Several (normally, two or more) Extra SIM cards with their own IMSIs & MSISDNs are associated with subscriber’s Main Card subscription
Subscriber can initiate calls from her mobile phone (Main Card), or from any other mobile device with an Extra SIM card; Called Party sees Subscribers Main MSISDN. Calls between MRMS cards can be optionally blocked
Calls towards subscriber’s Main Card MSISDN can be answered from the mobile phone device, or from any other device with an Extra SIM Card (if attached to the network)
Voice mail box, if provisioned, is shared between all SIM cards/devices
Self-administration: Force all devices follow sequential ringing (option)
